SCAN

Laredo, Texas

Serving Children and Adults in Need (SCAN) is a non-profit organization that combines evidence-based treatment options with prevention and intervention services in order to address drug abuse and alcohol addiction. Their goal is to provide trauma-informed addiction treatments and programs that address possible mental health problems that children of families experience due to that substance abuse within the home. All of the residential treatment programs available are age and gender-specific, allowing for more individualized services to be provided. Services will include initial assessments, individual therapy, support groups, family therapy, case management, relapse prevention training, different educational services, recreational activities, mindfulness, and experiential therapy. Other programs may be available depending on the individual client’s needs. As an inpatient drug rehab, SCAN is able to give each of their clients a supportive daily schedule and round-the-clock supervision. If individuals need help through a drug or alcohol detox center, they may be referred to another program as SCAN does not offer these services on-site.

Editorial Note
SCAN is not accredited by our trusted organizations, but this doesn't mean that their services aren't legit. They did have good reviews on Google and offer important drug rehab programs to individuals in the community.

Border Region Behavioral Health Center’s main goal is to provide substance abuse treatment plans that are cost-efficient and effective in addressing drug use and alcohol abuse in each person seeking help. As a non-profit treatment facility, Border Region Behavioral Health offers intake assessments that help to determine what the client is struggling with and how best to treat it. Each rehabilitation program is customized to the specific person, allowing them to decide which services are used and whether the program is long or short-term. Treatments include medication management, peer support, crisis interventions, case management, aftercare planning, assertive community treatment, psychosocial rehabilitation, cognitive behavioral therapy, life skill training, and more. They work with individuals of all ages and encourage the participation of loved ones throughout this entire process. Fees for these services are based on a sliding scale, though this rehab facility will not turn clients away based on their inability to pay and may accept forms of health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid.
