WTC is a recovery center that provides individuals living in the state of Texas with access to outpatient medication-assisted treatments used to address opioid withdrawal symptoms. Clients living in Abilene or other areas of west Texas will be prescribed methadone or buprenorphine, both of which are FDA-approved with regard to treating withdrawal. Initially, clients will need to be assessed by a medical team in order to make sure that the medications are safe to use and that they will be effective. Clients may also have access to different counseling services. WTC in Abilene accepts Medicare, Medicaid, health insurance, or forms of self-pay. They do also accept walk-in clients who need immediate access to treatment.
