Homeward Bound is a substance abuse treatment center that helps clients modify negative thought patterns and behaviors in order to promote more positive habits and skills in order to continuously address chemical dependency or underlying mental health problems. It’s also important to address the overall health of each individual and help them to gain back more and more independence throughout their recovery journey. Each individual will work with their own treatment team to design a program that best addresses their needs. Services include individual therapy, group therapy, addiction education, life skills training, 12-step programs, peer support, medication management, and gender-specific services. The residential treatment program available through Homeward Bound is long-term so that each individual has the time and care necessary for healing. Clients do also have access to medication assistance for opioid abuse if needed.

MedMark Treatment Centers is an outpatient treatment center that provides methadone maintenance to adult men and women suffering from withdrawal symptoms due to opioid addiction. Each client will work with a team of medical professionals who are able to determine the proper dose and length of treatment while also helping to design an overall treatment that consists of various counseling services. Methadone helps initially in treating specific symptoms, which then allows them to commit more time to their overall treatment program. Individual and group therapies help them to determine specific triggers that led to opiate abuse, learn effective communication and relationship-building skills, and develop daily tasks that ensure the individual remains sober. MedMark accepts private health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and forms of self-pay.

Emergence Health Network focuses on providing trauma-informed addiction treatments for adults and adolescents who need help. When it comes specifically to treating drug or alcohol addiction, Emergence provides medication assistance, various assessments, and intensive treatment options. Those services include medication management, peer support groups, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, and more. The goal is to ensure that each individual receives comprehensive programs that combine a variety of options that address the individual needs of each person. Emergence Health Network understands that every single person is unique, especially with regard to treating addiction.

Aliviane is a non-profit organization that provides a combination of prevention, intervention, and treatments to adults and adolescents in the El Paso area. Because of this, they offer a long list of programs. Clients dealing with alcohol or drug abuse have access to addiction education, individual therapy, group psychoeducation, medication assistance for opioid withdrawal, gender-specific plans, medication management, recreational activities, case management, and family support. Though treating the individual is the most important aspect of each program through Aliviane, clients are encouraged to include family members and loved ones in order to address all aspects of their life.

Along with the treatment plans specific to addiction recovery, clinicians at Atlantis Health also incorporate services that modify negative behaviors. Each individual receiving care through this treatment facility has access to transcranial magnetic stimulation, medication management, psychosocial rehabilitation, CBT, behavior modification therapy, various forms of individual and group therapies, and Suboxone therapy for opioid withdrawal. Some of the specific drugs Atlantis Health treats include various opiates, heroin, alcohol, benzodiazepines, and methamphetamine. The goal is to provide each individual with a safe space where they can develop a support system and learn skills that help to manage triggers and cope with the difficulties involved with substance use.

The El Paso VA Clinic provides various rehab programs to veterans who suffer from various addictions or underlying trauma that led to self-medication. The available services are offered on a short-term basis, working to provide immediate access to services that modify negative behaviors and help to treat the needs of the individual. Clients will have access to individual, group, and family therapies, medication management, and suicide prevention. Because this is a veterans clinic, clients will also be provided with primary healthcare services if they will help address any physical or emotional problems caused by the substance abuse. El Paso VA Clinic offers affordable, accessible treatment options to veterans who need help, especially if those veterans are struggling with homelessness or financial struggles.

El Paso Behavioral Health System is an inpatient drug and alcohol rehab center that provides treatments to adults, adolescents, and seniors. While providing comprehensive services is important, El Paso Behavioral Health also believes that healing environments play a key role in the overall rehabilitation of their clients. Available services include 12-step facilitation, electroconvulsive therapy, recreational therapies, counseling programs, medication management, stabilization services, education, and whatever other services are needed in treating the client. El Paso Behavioral Health does also provide sensitive services meant to address the needs of veterans or active-duty military, women, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Anthony Behavioral Health Services through LCDF is an outpatient program that combines behavior management, community support, medication management, crisis interventions, counseling services, and psychosocial rehabilitation. The goal is to use these programs to address the negative thoughts and behaviors that a client struggles with in order to provide them with coping skills that prevent self-medication or drug use in the future. Through treatment, clients learn how to socialize, develop support groups, and learn skills that lead them through life successfully. Because this facility only offers outpatient services, clients may need a referral for detox or inpatient treatment. The facility accepts health insurance and Medicaid as acceptable payment options for treatment.

Their El Paso chapter provides an expansive guide of local mental health resources including crisis lines, substance abuse services, shelters, food programs, and a variety of other community resources.
El Paso Strong: This is a program run by the City of El Paso that provides a variety of resources for El Paso residents. These include crisis resources and mental health recovery resources.
Open Counseling: This national website provides a search tool for anyone to find reasonably priced counseling services all across the country. They also have an El Paso-specific resource page that provides a list of mental health crisis lines in the El Paso, Texas area.
Emergence Health Network: This is a community mental health provider with several locations all across El Paso, Texas. They provide several different types of services including counseling, MAT, IOP, and PHP services throughout the city.
