Each client who works with BronxCare will have access to private living spaces, comprehensive treatment programs, and recreational areas. Though programs are individualized, clients will have access to services such as individual therapy, group therapy, medication assistance, various medical services if needed, pet therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and educational services. Because BronxCare is a medical healthcare facility, they may be able to offer more specific services in order to treat the client as a whole, address health complications that may have arisen due to drug abuse, and work with the client to treat any other mental health conditions that may be present. BronxCare offers age-specific programs for adults, adolescents, and children through a treatment team that is dedicated to promoting overall wellness and emotional enhancement, especially to clients suffering from chemical dependency alongside mental health problems.

Ramon Velez Recovery Center

Bronx, New York

Ramon Velez Recovery Center is part of the Acacia Network of substance abuse treatment rehabilitation centers. This location provides chemical dependency treatment to both adults and teens. Services include individual therapy, group therapy, family programs, medication assistance, relapse prevention programs, and gender-specific treatment groups. Because this program only offers short-term outpatient treatments, clients may need a referral or help through a different program if they require detoxification or residential treatment programs that offer long-term, comprehensive programs for more severe cases of alcohol addiction or drug abuse. Clients will be encouraged to include their loved ones throughout the entire recovery process as well. All programs are trauma-informed to ensure the utmost care is given to each client, no matter what their individual situation is. Clients may also participate in prevention services as well as allow family members to learn overdose prevention techniques that can be utilized within the home.

Available services within this rehab program include evidence-based therapies, domestic violence counseling, gender-specific care, family-inclusive programs, criminal justice workshops, therapeutic recreation, overdose prevention training, and so much more. The goal is not just to treat the person in the now, but it is also to set them up for success long-term by promoting abstinence and teaching the necessary life skills that will help clients to maintain that sobriety even after their treatment programs have ended.
