Phoenix House in Queens helps men and women by treating mental health disorders and co-occurring substance abuse. They have separate, gender-specific programs for both men and women. In addition to their residential program, there is also an outpatient program nearby. This allows clients to continue their recovery even after the residential program has ended. The outpatient program takes the skills developed in the residential program and continues building upon them.

All available behavioral health services through this rehabilitation center are chosen by the client and their clinician based on individual needs and recovery goals. Alcoholics Anonymous: Along with providing times and locations for AA meetings in the Queens area of NYC, individuals also have access to community events and local resources for alcohol treatment. This program connects men and women across New York City who need peer support from individuals who also understand alcohol abuse.
Narcotics Anonymous Western Queens: This website provides access to meeting times and locations in the Western Queens area for both men and women dealing with drug abuse. These meetings can be utilized prior to attending a recovery program as a form of motivation. They are often required during treatment as a type of communal support group, and most clients find these meetings to be extremely helpful for continued support once their treatment program has ended.

These facilities may also offer very basic levels of short-term individual and group therapies, but they do not offer longer-term or more comprehensive services as an addiction rehab would.
