Zinnia Healing Exeter is located in a quiet, relaxing setting in southern Rhode Island, and offers dual-diagnosis detox and inpatient addiction treatment for adults. We have a passion for helping individuals and their families conquer their substance use and secondary mental health disorders. We offer therapies including but not limited to psychoeducation, dialectical behavior therapy, anger management, relapse prevention, and coping skills. Length of stay is determined by individual assessment and progress toward clinical goals, but most clients spend roughly 30 days, combined, in our detox and residential programs. Comprehensive Community Action Program is a non-profit, community-based organization that offers many different healthcare services, mental health services, and treatment programs for addiction. Clients will also have access to family programs, job training, and life skills development programs. This specific location of CODAC Behavioral Healthcare provides substance abuse treatments and services for co-occurring disorders through medication-assisted treatments and various other services. CODAC may prescribe methadone, buprenorphine, oral naltrexone, and Vivitrol. Along with those specific medications that help to minimize withdrawal symptoms, clients also have access to counseling services, acudetox ear acupuncture, and massage therapy. IOP through CODAC is an 8-week program, consisting of at minimum 9 hours of treatment per week. General outpatient programs can last as long as the client needs for as many hours a week as the client is comfortable with. The goal of IOP here is to provide each person with a structured program that can be fit around other daily responsibilities, but general outpatient services are utilized to maintain the skills and habits learned in IOP.

Other services may include vocational assistance, health and wellness programs, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Along with providing comprehensive and individualized treatment programs, Butler Hospital works to ensure that each client has access to both psychiatric and primary care in order to treat them as a whole.

Phoenix House in Exeter, Rhode Island provides comprehensive drug addiction and alcohol abuse treatment plans to adult men who may also supper from mental illnesses. Length of stay typically lasts around 28 days, however, this is determined based on the individual client and is not a limit for how long a person may receive help through Phoenix House. VICTA is an outpatient treatment facility that is privately owned and accepts most insurance plans and self-pay options. In order to help clients struggling with opioid withdrawal, VICTA is able to prescribe medications such as methadone, buprenorphine, or Vivitrol. For clients enrolled in IOP through VICTA, schedules may vary depending on the time of day they are able to participate and which therapies are seen as most effective for their individual conditions and needs. Options for drug treatment include various types of group therapy, interventions, individual therapy each week, and possible family therapy options. VICTA is also able to provide primary healthcare services or connect their clients to facilities that have those options available so as to be able to treat them as a whole and provide them with every treatment option available.

The Providence Center is a recovery-oriented dual diagnosis treatment facility that works with adults, adolescents, and children who reside in the state of Rhode Island and need help with addiction or mental health problems. Some programs are gender-specific, allowing clinicians to work with their clients and provide more individualized care. Other treatment options that may be included in these programs include various types of individual, group, and family therapy, medication management as needed, relapse prevention training, case management, health and wellness planning, discharge planning, recovery coaching, and so much more.
