Centra – Pathways

Centra – Pathways

Lynchburg, Virginia

When treating substance abuse in their clients, Pathways through Centra looks at the client through their biology, social aspects of their life, developmental issues that may be present, and various psychological needs that they may have. Centra is a general healthcare organization that provides Virginia residents with access to substance abuse treatments through Pathways. The goal is to look at the entire person, address all of their needs, and develop a treatment plan based on that. Because of this, each program is totally individualized, combining a variety of services and therapies that are customized to the client and promote overall wellness as well as recovery from chemical dependency. Along with access to different services, clients will also be able to work with robust treatment teams. The staff-to-client ratio makes it so that each individual has ample time with addiction specialists, clinicians, and medical professionals. Developing trustworthy, long-lasting relationships with their treatment team allows clients to feel like they are able to open up and work through their recovery with people who care about them. Pathways accepts most health insurance providers and Medicaid.

Detox, Residential Treatment

Lynchburg Comprehensive is a medication-assisted treatment facility, offering access to methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone, and Vivitrol. These medications work to minimize any withdrawal symptoms from opioid addiction that the client suffers from, allowing them to focus on their recovery without the threat of relapse. Because each client is different and their experience with opioids is different, treatment teams through Lynchburg Comprehensive work to address their physical needs as well as the emotional, behavioral, and social areas that are in need of help. Clients will participate in group and individual therapies while also receiving these medications. Combining both increases client motivation and forces them to address their drug and alcohol addiction head-on. Clients may also be encouraged to include their loved ones in various counseling services to address addiction within the home. Detox will also need to be completed prior to using these medications, so clients may receive a referral to trusted detoxification services nearby. Lynchburg Comprehensive accepts Medicare for their services.
