Spirit Mountain Recovery is an 8-bed, all-male residential treatment facility that is located on the side of a mountain in a secluded part of Utah. Residents are able to escape into the wilderness, focus solely on their individual recovery plan, and leave with a clear head and open mind. This facility takes a nature-based approach to drug and alcohol recovery, introducing each man to full-body healing. Each program is totally individualized to the specific person, meaning that no two men will have the same recovery experience. Not only do they play an active role in designing their program, but clients will also have access to a state-of-the-art facility with many different amenities.
The treatment process at Spirit Mountain is based on nature therapy. Clients are invited to connect to the body, mind, and soul while in nature. Not only is the facility located on the side of a beautiful mountain, but clients are encouraged to participate in a variety of sports, outdoor therapies, and physical activities that promote positive healing of the entire individual. Over the last five years, Spirit Mountain has been creating a mindfulness-based treatment program that combines these outdoor therapies with mindfulness in order to address the entire individual and provide them with positive coping skills that can help long-term.
Clients will also have access to an on-site chef that provides nutritionist-approved meals three times a day. Proper nutrition is vital in recovering from drugs and alcohol, so it is critical that each client receive healthy meals. Along with providing nutrition, the chef also offers cooking skill courses that teaches these men how to cook meals that will heal their body and sustain long-term sobriety through food.
Spirit Mountain Recovery also provides clients with on-site detoxification services. Each individual who requires this program will be teamed up with medical professionals to ensure that they get through the detox process in the safest and most effective way possible. The detox program helps each person get through the withdrawal process without the threat of relapse.
