Spirit Mountain Recovery

Spirit Mountain Recovery is an 8-bed, all-male residential treatment facility that is located on the side of a mountain in a secluded part of Utah. Residents are able to escape into the wilderness, focus solely on their individual recovery plan, and leave with a clear head and open mind. This facility takes a nature-based approach to drug and alcohol recovery, introducing each man to full-body healing. Each program is totally individualized to the specific person, meaning that no two men will have the same recovery experience. Not only do they play an active role in designing their program, but clients will also have access to a state-of-the-art facility with many different amenities.

Key Features

  • Outdoor Therapies allow each man to take a break from the stressors of everyday life and commit to healing themselves.
  • An on-site chef provides nutritionist-approved meals that help heal the body.
  • On-site Detox services allow clients to remain in the comfort of the facility while detoxing.

How We Treat Addiction

Recovery at Spirit Mountain Recovery is nature-based, meaning that clients will be totally immersed in the world around them. Clients are grounded to the nature they live in and are asked to focus on healing the body, mind, and soul while also participating in evidence-based therapies. Each program combines services such as cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, motivational interviewing, trauma therapy, mindfulness training, yoga, focused breathing, hiking, therapeutic fitness, and various other physical activities. Spirit Mountain also takes a dual diagnosis approach, working to address underlying conditions at the same time as the symptoms of addiction that are currently present.

Client Reviews

quote
Spirit Mountain gave me a new life, a fresh start. It is a safe place. I felt safe sharing things and working through things that I had been holding onto for my whole life, things I thought I would never share with another person. All I received was love, care, and understanding. I made some relationships that will be for life. The people here truly understand addiction and how to live a life in recovery. If I could do it over again, I would have stayed longer than 30 days, and I really mean that. Can't recommend Spirit Mountain enough.

My experience at Spirit Mountain Recovery was nothing short of exceptional and life changing. I can't thank Seth, Brett, Adam, Tommy, Ryan, Lindsey, Brenda, Andrea, Matt, Jack, and the rest of the staff enough for saving me from addiction. The location, house, facilities, program, and activities were exactly what I needed to get well. Luis is an amazing chef and meals were awesome. If you need help and are considering a recovery center I highly recommend SM. All you need is the willingness to heal and do the necessary work, the Staff will take care of the rest. 5 stars.

Spirit Mountain Recovery (SMR) has been an absolute saving grace for my partner. I can’t begin to express my appreciation for the care and compassion SMR has provided him. I can happily say that because of SMR and their compassionate, professional, and personalized treatment programs, my family is whole again. I’m so proud of the man and father he is today. SMR has not only given him, but our entire family the resources to help sustain a healthy, happy, and sober lifestyle; one day at a time. Spirit Mountain is without a doubt a blessing and highly recommended for anyone battling addiction.

About Our Helpline

LiveAnotherDay.org’s helpline is a private and convenient solution for individuals seeking treatment for addiction or mental illness.

Calls to our helpline (all non-facility specific 1-8XX numbers) will be answered by Recovery Advisors, American Addiction Centers, or one of our verified local treatment partners. Calls are routed based on geographic location.

Our helpline is offered at no cost to you and with no obligation to enter into treatment. In some cases, Live Another Day charges our verified partner a modest cost per call, which helps us cover the costs of building and maintaining our website. We do not receive any commission or fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a visitor ultimately selects.

For more information on Live Another Day’s helpline, as well as our selection process, mission statement, and staff, visit our About page.

If our helpline is unable to assist you, we recommend browsing our state-by-state listings of the Best-Rated Rehab Centers, reading our resource guides, or visiting SAMHSA.gov.
