Essentials Recovery Delaware

Wilmington, Delaware

Essentials of Recovery Delaware offers treatment teams that combine the expertise of trained professionals with the perspective and experience of individuals in recovery in order to provide each client with the most well-rounded and effective team possible. Clients suffering from withdrawal due to opioid abuse will have access to medication assistance through prescriptions to Suboxone, Subutex, or Vivitrol. Though these medications are effective in treating pain or cravings, clients will also be offered various types of individual and group therapies in order to promote long-term healing. Available outpatient programs include trauma therapy, community integration, evaluations, meditation, life skills development, nutritional guidance, relapse prevention training, music therapy, creative arts, spiritual guidance, anger management, and vocational assistance.

Catholic Charities is a community organization that provides faith-based services to men and women in Delaware who are in need of guidance and addiction treatment. Rehab programs that address substance abuse here consist of various counseling services, psychiatric medication management, relapse prevention, communication skill development, family therapy, and any talk therapies that might be beneficial to the client and their loved ones. When clients come to Catholic Charities for help, they will participate in an initial evaluation to determine if the available outpatient treatment services will be most beneficial. If Catholic Charities is unable to meet the person’s needs, the client will receive a referral to another addiction treatment center that can meet those needs.

Levels of Care
Outpatient

Editorial Note
Catholic Charities is not accredited, but because of their decent reviews and access to outpatient services, we have included them in our list of rehab centers for Delaware.

Claymont Comprehensive is a medication-assisted treatment facility that works to provide access to methadone and buprenorphine for adult men and women over the age of 18. These medications help reduce the pain and discomfort that often follows detoxification from opioids. Opioid withdrawal is the top reason why people relapse. As those symptoms become unbearable, the individual will self-medicate in order to reduce those symptoms, thus leading to a relapse. MAT programs offer access to non-addictive, FDA-approved medications that target withdrawal symptoms, cravings, and pain. Once clients are stabilized, they are then able to participate in both individual and group therapies. The goal here is to increase client motivation for change, connect individuals with other people experiencing similar situations, and give clients a foundation on which real recovery can build. All available treatment options are covered under health insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare, or self-pay.
