A Center for Eating Disorders
205-933-0041 | Visit Website
2401 Arlington Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35205
A Center for Eating Disorders prioritizes treating individuals in ways that meet their own personal goals rather than trying to force a client to fit into a pre-determined plan. Clients pick their specific goals, work closely with treatment staff to ensure those goals remain at the forefront of treatment and establish programs based on individual strengths and needs. In some cases, the eating disorder led to substance abuse and vice versa, making it critical for both co-occurring disorders to be treated at the same time. Though there is a very long list of therapies offered at A Center for Eating Disorders, some of the treatment options include cooking classes, group therapy, medical advice and monitoring, prayer, meditation, yoga, and more.
What They Treat: Dual diagnosis substance abuse and eating disorders. They provide eating disorder-only treatment services as well.
