Despite having fewer than 10 Google reviews, we did feel that this facility is accurately presented and provides a robust list of services for individuals in New Mexico seeking help.
New Mexico Treatment Services is a Methadone clinic that also offers Suboxone as a replacement medication. Clients who need help reducing withdrawal symptoms in order to increase motivation and commitment to drug or alcohol treatment may require MAT interventions. This facility also offers individual counseling, but clients will need to seek long-term help through a different addiction treatment center. Clients will typically need to have completed a medical detox process prior to enrolling in this program as many of these MAT medications cannot be used if drugs are still present within the system. This step in the recovery journey can be critical, but evaluations and medical exams should also be included to ensure that Methadone or Suboxone is safe for the client to utilize.

Vista Taos provides clients with a primary residential addiction treatment plan, followed by an extended care program and aftercare. This allows clients to work with the same treatment team from the beginning of their recovery journey to the end, giving them the chance to develop trusting relationships and learn skills that will help them lead successful sober lives following the end of their substance abuse treatment. Each plan combines evidence-based therapies with holistic treatments to create a sense of overall wellness. Primary treatment lasts anywhere from 4-6 weeks, and the extended care program lasts for whatever length of time is necessary. This second phase allows clients to have more freedom while still living in a structured environment. Clients will be expected to work, volunteer, or continue their education while also participating in services such as therapeutic activities, family therapy, and 12-step meetings for ongoing support.
