We believe in holistic healing of the mind, body, and spirit. Incorporating exercise into your treatment program can help you achieve long-term recovery. Research shows that under some conditions, both drug abuse and exercise show similarly increased levels of well-being and euphoria. As a recovering addict, your body has suffered from neglect and disease. Sweat it out with our exercise trainer, who visits us on-site Monday through Friday.
We're sober, not boring! Zinnia Health - Newport Beach clients enjoy weekend outings including hiking, bowling, going to the beach, movies, and other enjoyable activities. While therapy is a significant aspect of recovering from addiction and co-occurring disorders, fellowship is just as important. Learning to have fun without drugs or alcohol is a new experience for many while in treatment and early recovery. Smile, laugh, and enjoy yourself. Life is meant to be celebrated!
Many people practice yoga not just for improving physical health, but also for its mental health benefits. Yoga, as well as meditation, can be particularly useful for those battling drug and alcohol addictions. Doing yoga regularly may expand or improve the brain’s prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain that is active when people make decisions, consider their options, plan, and perform multiple tasks at once. Some who struggle with drug addictions have issues with these specific cognitive abilities since drugs can directly damage or influence the prefrontal cortex. Yoga and meditation could reverse some of those effects.

LiveAnotherDay.org’s helpline is a private and convenient solution for individuals seeking treatment for addiction or mental illness.
Calls to our helpline (all non-facility specific 1-8XX numbers) will be answered by Recovery Advisors, American Addiction Centers, or one of our verified local treatment partners. Calls are routed based on geographic location.
Our helpline is offered at no cost to you and with no obligation to enter into treatment. In some cases, Live Another Day charges our verified partner a modest cost per call, which helps us cover the costs of building and maintaining our website. We do not receive any commission or fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a visitor ultimately selects.
