The Arch is one component of the Carroll Institute that offers clients a wide variety of substance abuse treatment options aimed at treating both alcohol and drug addiction. Clients are assessed at the very beginning to help determine which areas of their lives are in need, what conditions they are struggling with, and what the best methods of treatment are. The Arch also offers DUI education, addiction education groups, prevention programs, court-mandated programs, and treatments specific to individuals in jail or having just been released from jail. Other services that are available in outpatient programs include relapse prevention training, the Matrix Model, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and communication skill development. Groups will discuss topics such as negative versus positive thinking, self-esteem, goal setting, relationship management, and trigger identification. All clients also participate in discharge planning and aftercare services that continue providing care even after a client's program have ended. The Arch does also offer prevention programs for individuals ages 13-18 years old which are mostly made up of educational services.
