Clients may spend anywhere from 30 to 60 days in the residential program at California Highlands. Detox may be necessary, and the medically supervised detox period may last 3 to 10 days depending on the drug used, length of use, and amount used. Once detox is complete, clients will work with their team to develop a program that treats their specific condition while also providing services that modify behaviors and help clients develop skills for long-term sobriety. Treatment options offered to residential clients through California Highlands include group and individual therapy, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, family therapy, and aftercare planning. Other options may be available to those who need them, but this is determined during the assessment phase where clients meet with their specific treatment team to decide what the best course for treatment is.
