Psychological Addiction Services works to address clients who suffer from narcotic addiction, specifically drugs such as heroin, prescription painkillers, or other forms of opioids. Because they work with opioids, PAS offers medication-assisted treatment options, including prescription use of methadone and Suboxone. The goal of these medications is to reduce withdrawal symptoms, minimize cravings, increase motivation for recovery, and allow the individual to continue working, going to school, or taking care of other responsibilities. Alongside treating clients with medication, PAS also offers assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, case management, various evaluations, and drug testing. Clients may also receive referrals to community programs and other services that may be helpful as well. Acceptable payment options include various forms of health insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare.

Middleton Veterans Hospital are trauma-informed, meaning that they address the very specific psychological needs of their clients based on trauma sustained during the individual’s time in service. Clients struggling with addiction will participate in services such as individual or group therapies, medication management, 24-hour medical care, and housing support. William S. Middleton has an addiction disorders treatment program that includes therapy, medication assistance, evaluations, case management, and more. Veterans have access to any type of medical or psychological treatment in order to provide them with the most comprehensive outpatient treatment program possible.

Addiction Services and Pharmacotherapy in Madison is an outpatient medication-assisted treatment center. If clients suffer from some type of opioid withdrawal, they will have access to prescriptions for methadone, Suboxone, or Vivitrol. CleanSlate will also connect clients to detox facilities prior to medication assistance if the client still has opioids in their system. Along with accepting most insurance plans, CleanSlate also accepts Medicare and Medicaid. Despite only offering outpatient services, CleanSlate’s overall goal is to provide accessible, high-quality treatments and minimize the number of deaths caused by opioids.

ARC is a non-profit program that offers services specific to the needs and underlying traumas that women may face, especially women who are pregnant or have young children. Each program is specific to the person, but some of the treatment services include education, assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, case management, family programs, child care services on-site, parenting classes, wellness therapies, anger management, relapse prevention training, and cognitive interventions. Because the goal is to ensure that these women are offered services that assist them in developing skills necessary for living successful lives, ARC also provides housing assistance, job assistance, and transportation services. Each individual is also encouraged to participate in aftercare therapies that extend support long-term.
