The Chattanooga location of Spero Health offers outpatient services and medication-assisted treatments to adult men and women who struggle with any type of addiction to opioids or alcohol addiction. Clinicians will work extremely closely with their clients and medical professionals to decide if Suboxone, Subutex, or Vivitrol are the most appropriate medications for treating the withdrawal symptoms clients may struggle with. The medical professionals that clients work with will monitor their progress, change their treatment plan based on that progress, and make sure that each individual is safe and supervised during all times of care. Other treatment services these clients are provided with include individual therapy, group therapy, support from social services if needed, recovery support, peer-led groups, and any other psychiatric services that are needed. Volunteer Comprehensive Treatment Center is an outpatient, medication-assisted facility that works specifically to treat men and women over the age of 18 who suffer from opioid addiction and withdrawal symptoms. This treatment facility provides methadone, buprenorphine, or Suboxone in order to minimize the effect these symptoms have on causing a relapse or potential overdose. Once those symptoms are stabilized, the client can participate in various types of individual and group therapies and focus on healing. Clients are able to use these services as a starting place for the long journey that is recovery, and once they are stabilized and their motivation for recovery has increased, clinicians can provide these clients with referrals to other programs. Volunteer Comprehensive accepts forms of self-pay, health insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare.

Men and women seeking help through Bradford Health Services will begin with an assessment, followed by a variety of outpatient treatment plans that are totally individualized to the specific person. Services are available both in-person and virtual. Clients are able to participate in various therapies, continuing care planning, family support, education, and more. Each recovery program will also include individual and group therapies that address preventing relapses, the entire environment in which the client lives, and how to deal with triggers in the world that may threaten the individual’s sobriety. Aftercare planning is a critical piece of these programs and allows each client to continue receiving support long-term. Once their program has ended, clients are encouraged to participate in Bradford Health’s extensive alumni program where they can remain close to their peers and treatment team, especially if the individual needs support during crisis situations. Bradford Health Services accepts some forms of health insurance, but they do also offer flexible payment plans that allow clients who suffer from financial problems to receive care without having to worry about paying immediately.

Volunteer Behavioral Health Care Systems is an addiction treatment center that works with Chattanooga residents of all ages. The Chattanooga location of Cumberland Heights is a 12-step based recovery center that provides outpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs to Chattanooga residents. All clients are assessed, and from those assessments, a personalized addiction treatment plan is designed based on the client’s specific needs. Because they are an outpatient program, Cumberland Heights is able to provide more flexible programs that fit into each person’s life. Clients may be able to participate in services such as counseling, experiential learning activities, family education, addiction education, spirituality groups, and relapse prevention training. Because this rehab program is outpatient only, most of the therapy takes place in group settings, which gives clients the chance to work together and develop support groups that hold them accountable throughout the recovery process. Family members are able to support one another, share their stories, and help each other develop coping skills that can help with addressing substance use disorders within the home. Al-Anon also provides teen and adolescent-specific support groups for young people who are affected by a parent or family member who abuses drugs within the home.
