Prairie Saint Johns is both an inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment center that works with children, adolescents, and adults. They have a 110-bed residential program as well as general outpatient treatment options for individuals who cannot commit to inpatient rehab or who have already participated and are stepping down to lower levels of care. Clients are able to choose from low and high intensity programs, but the goal of both is to help each person develop recovery skills and relapse prevention techniques that support them long-term. This rehab program emphasizes education and aftercare planning to ensure that the skills learned within rehab are continuously used outside of treatment to maintain sobriety. Though there is not a cap on how long a person may stay in the residential program, Prairie Saint Johns houses clients on average for about 12-13 days. Outpatient services are available for a longer period of time as ongoing support.
