A and M Recovery provides holistic outpatient treatment programs that provide various treatment services over a 16 week period. These services include weekly group therapies, weekly individual sessions, and family programs. Group therapies address topics such as addiction education, how to rebuild one’s life, boundaries, what healthy relationships look like, gender-specific issues, the development of life skills, and various process groups. Clients also have access to community services such as alcoholics anonymous meetings, various 12-step programs, Celebrate Recovery, or other spiritual activities. Combining several of these programs helps create a more well-rounded and comprehensive plan that addresses the client as a whole and can prepare them for sobriety outside of the rehab facility. If a client needs more intensive or inpatient treatment, they may receive a referral to a different facility.

BHG Springfield Treatment Center is a medication-assisted treatment facility that provides outpatient care to adult men and women suffering from withdrawal symptoms due to opioid use. Along with individual therapy, group therapy, and family programs, clients have access to Methadone and Suboxone in order to minimize withdrawal symptoms and cravings. BHG Springfield accepts walk-in clients in order to increase immediate access when needed. They also accept Humana, TRICARE, and self-pay plans. Medication assistance is a crucial step in the recovery process, especially when it comes to relapse prevention. Because of those withdrawal symptoms, relapse and overdose are very real threats to a person’s sobriety. Medication alongside therapy helps address symptoms of alcohol addiction and drug abuse before they cause worse problems. Clients may also participate in off-site support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous.

Burrell Behavioral Health works with children, adolescents, and adults in age-specific mental health and substance abuse treatment. Available addiction treatment programs may include various types of individual and group therapies, evidence-based programs, transcranial magnetic stimulation, medication assistance, case management, crisis interventions, and various evaluations. Combining some of these services can treat the clients as a whole and helo provide them with the necessary skills and coping mechanisms for long-term sobriety. Burrell Behavioral Health is a community organization that promotes abstinence through community and peer support services. They increase accessibility to individuals throughout the community as well as provide fast and immediate support.

Synergy Recovery Center is a female-only facility, offering programs that combine evidence-based therapies and holistic treatments to better address the client as a whole and provide long-term sobriety. These treatment programs are based in the 12-step principles, but other available services include medication assistance, EMDR, trauma-informed care, individual therapy, group therapy, family programs, education, healthy living classes, nutritional guidance, yoga, art therapy, music therapy, acudetox, and mindfulness meditation. Utilizing a combination of these services can provide individuals with the coping skills and habits necessary to lead a fulfilling sober lifestyle. The length of treatment extends from 30 to 60 days, after which the client may be transferred to an outpatient program for continuing care.

Treatment programs through the Springfield location of Preferred Family Healthcare focus on helping clients develop new skills, replace old and negative thinking patterns with more positive ones, and get rid of any old behaviors or relationships that may have led to addictive problems. In order to achieve these, available health services include community integration, developing healthy relationships, employment assistance, various assessments, interventions, group and individual therapy, social skills classes, acceptance and commitment therapy, behavior management, and more. Clients work specifically with their treatment team to design an effective program individualized to their specific needs and recovery goals. If outpatient treatment is not comprehensive enough for the individual, they may need to be referred to a different rehab program that provides intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization program.

Clients suffering from drug abuse and dependency issues will work with a treatment team of program managers, counselors, case managers, peer support specialists, and other addiction specialists to design a treatment program that best fits their needs. Not only will these programs address their symptoms of addiction, but they also address the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of the person. As a nonprofit rehabilitation center, Heartland provides increased access to treatment options that can assist in treating substance use disorders of all individuals throughout the community who need help, regardless of their ability to pay. Clients are also encouraged to include their loved ones in these programs to help the individuals and their family members address problems within the home and educate them on addiction and the ways in which it affects everyone.
