BHG – Kansas City

Kansas City, Missouri

BHG – Kansas City

Kansas City, Missouri

BHG Kansas City is a medication-assisted treatment facility. Not only do they specialize in treating men and women who are suffering from opioid or alcohol abuse, but they provide various medications and therapies to help address withdrawal and make these stages of early recovery as easy and safe as possible. Along with buprenorphine, Methadone, Suboxone, and other medications, clients are able to work with their doctors and clinicians to treat cravings, pain, and other symptoms that may be preventing the client from seeking help through a rehab facility. Unfortunately, withdrawal symptoms threaten sobriety often and can cause relapses or overdoses. By utilizing these medications and combining them with individual and group therapies, clients are more likely to remain in treatment and get sober. Once this program has ended, the client may be referred to an inpatient treatment program to continue receiving care.

Editorial Note
This facility is now accepting walk-ins and new clients. They also accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, TRICARE, and self-pay.

Substance abuse treatment options through Preferred Family Healthcare include group therapy, individual therapy, addiction education, recreational therapy, relapse prevention techniques, support groups, community support, and aftercare planning. These community services help clients with housing, employment, food, healthcare, and sober activities. Because peer support services and community support are critical pieces of treatment, clients participate in groups that discuss topics such as anger management, communication, the development of life skills and coping mechanisms, and family problems that may be hindering the person’s recovery process.

Editorial Note
This drug and alcohol rehab facility has fewer than 10 Google reviews, none of which were left in the last year. Keep this in mind when looking for programs to get help through, because what was though five years ago may have changed. Programs and clinicians may be different, so visit the facility and complete your own research before committing to a facility.
