Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is a community-based mental health treatment provider that addresses the needs of individuals of all ages throughout Evansville, Indiana. Clients will have access to emergency services, addiction education, community outreach, medication management, individual therapy, group therapy, family programs, and various wellness services through Stepping Stone, which is the name of their recovery center. Though they do not provide access to inpatient treatments at this specific facility, they do refer their clients to the closest hospital and remain in contact throughout this entire period of treatment until the client is stable enough to participate in outpatient treatment specifically through Southwestern. Stepping Stone will not turn clients away based on their inability to pay for treatment and will help set each client up with the best payment plan possible. Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare accepts many forms of health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and forms of self-pay.

Their initial goal was to provide access to immediate care within the area and fix the problem many face when they are placed on a long waitlist but need treatment now. The main form of treatment through Counseling for Change rests on the Matrix Model. This sets the foundation for all of the other services available, including moral reconation therapy, life skill development, trauma therapy, EMDR, individual counseling, and family therapy. They also provide access to community-based 12-step meetings and other forms of treatment. Counseling for Change does try to help each client find the most affordable option possible, but it is the responsibility of the client to pay for their services.

Deaconess Cross Pointe is a healthcare facility that also provides addiction treatment programs through Cross Pointe. Each client begins with a comprehensive assessment, working with their clinician to pinpoint the areas of need within their life. At this specific location, clients will have access to outpatient treatment services, but they may be referred to Cross Pointe’s inpatient hospitalization location if more intensive, round-the-clock services are needed. Available treatment options include anger management, medication management, various types of talk therapies, Matrix Model groups, medication assistance, and withdrawal management. The length of PHP through Cross Point lasts approximately 2-3 weeks but can go on for as long as the client needs in order to remain effective. They do also offer electroconvulsive therapies to adult clients who elect to have this treatment as part of their overall program.

Hillcrest Youth Services is a not-for-profit rehab facility working with clients between the ages of 10 and 21. Their goal is to address addiction and other behavioral health conditions early, provide these adolescents with access to interventions, education, and treatments, and work to promote relapse prevention techniques in order to promote long-term sobriety. Though each program is individualized, all clients have access to life skills support groups, psychotherapy, primary healthcare services, the Seven Challenges program, addiction education, and anger management. Behavioral therapies are used to modify negative thoughts and behaviors, and all individuals will participate in aftercare programs to continue providing them with support. As an adolescent-based program, Hillcrest Youth Services does encourage loved ones to participate in each program, even if only short-term.
