Though MAT can be a short-term service, Mile High Recovery does also offer long-term recovery programs as well.

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is an all-inclusive facility that works to increase equal access to addiction recovery programs for individuals who may suffer from co-occurring homelessness. They offer a long list of housing options, healthcare services, and drug and alcohol treatments that can be customized to the specific client. Services are offered to adults and adolescents, and they may include holistic activities, psychosocial assessments, brief counseling, wellness classes, individual therapy, and medication assistance. For clients dealing with opioid withdrawal, Colorado Coalition offers access to buprenorphine and Naltrexone.

The goal is to identify any possible triggers, teach coping skills that help manage them, and provide clients with healthier hobbies that can be maintained outside of treatment. They do also offer electroconvulsive therapy if the client decides they want to participate in this service. Because Porter Adventist Hospital is still a healthcare facility, clients may also have access to primary healthcare services if needed.

Community Reach Center is a community-based facility that provides access to a variety of general health and behavioral health services. Their addiction treatment program is called Stages, and it offers 16 inpatient beds for men and women in need of sub-acute treatment. As a short-term stabilization program, clients remain in care for about 10-14 days. This facility is meant to provide care to individuals with higher-risk psychiatric disorders, so clients are checked on every 15 minutes to ensure they are safe and completing treatment as designed by their individual clinician. Treatment teams will consist of psychiatrists, addiction specialists, case managers, and nurses who are all part of the client’s recovery process. This program will include different types of therapy, motivational enhancement, skill development, and community-based abstinence. If clients require continued care following the end of their program at Community Reach Center, they will be referred to a trusted facility that provides longer-term outpatient services.
