This program is based on a set of phases, allowing each individual to progress through them at their own pace and graduate when they are ready for total independence. Treatment options include life skill development, daily 12-step meetings, family systems therapy, community support groups, individual counseling, relapse prevention training, substance abuse education, nutritional guidance, therapeutic fitness, yoga, art therapy, and many different recreational activities. Each man will also work with their treatment team to find long-term housing, a job that supports their lifestyle, and continuing education opportunities. This program works to address long-term goals and the client’s overall standard of living since each individual has already gotten sober and is past the initial phases of stabilization and recovery.

The Tucson VA Medical Center seeks to provide immediate access to care for men and women who have served their country and are in need of supportive services led by individuals who understand the traumas they may be facing. In order to keep services as accessible and affordable as possible, the VA Medical Center does accept military insurance.

Desert Star provides comprehensive outpatient programs to men and women struggling with addiction and any possible underlying condition that may be worsening that drug or alcohol use. All of their services are offered in both individual and group settings and address topics such as healthy relationships, boundaries, and trauma. Clients can also participate in gender-specific groups if that makes them more comfortable.
