Though they may be able to work with clients suffering from many types of substances, Gallus Detox mainly specializes in detoxing from alcohol, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, opiates, stimulants, and methadone detox. The residential program is 30 days long and offers access to trauma-informed therapies, 24-hour supervision, and a multidisciplinary treatment team. Outpatient programs consist of a set number of hours required each week, but the overall intensity of the program depends on the client and their need for supervision. Calvary does also offer medication assistance and faith-based programs to clients who need them.

Valle del Sol is a community-based healthcare organization that provides increased access to primary healthcare services and behavioral healthcare to individuals of all ages within the Latino community. They have several different locations across Arizona, but the South Phoenix location provides access to substance abuse treatment services and medication-assisted treatment plans. Clients also have access to walk-in treatments, family-inclusive programs, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and different types of counseling. When it comes to treating opioid addiction, Valle del Sol offers methadone or Suboxone to treat withdrawal while clients are also encouraged to participate in group therapy and other forms of mental health counseling. Clients are able to pay for these services using some health insurance plans, private pay based on a sliding fee scale, and Valle del Sol may also offer other forms of payment assistance.

Center for Behavioral Health is an outpatient medication-assisted rehab facility that works specifically with men and women over the age of 18 who have struggled with opioid addiction for a long period of time and are currently experiencing uncomfortable or painful withdrawal symptoms. Clients will be evaluated and assessed by medical professionals and MAT specialists who are able to determine which medications and supplemental treatment options are most effective and safe. Center for Behavioral Health does offer methadone or buprenorphine, but medication is not the only component of opioid treatment at this facility. Clients will also participate in individual counseling sessions with an assigned therapist, weekly group therapies with their peers, family counseling, and an entire list of behavioral therapies that address negative thoughts, positive habits, life skill development, and coping mechanisms. The Tempe location in Arizona does accept Medicaid.

The 27th Avenue location of Terros Health provides each of their clients with multidisciplinary and comprehensive treatment programs that address substance abuse and any co-occurring medical conditions or mental illnesses. This location offers primary healthcare services, care coordination, medication assistance, and court-mandated programs as well as general substance abuse treatments. Programs specific to treating addiction include psychiatric care, individual counseling, EMDR, DBT, various support groups, medication management, relapse prevention, experiential activities, 12-step meetings, and more. The goal is to assess each client and develop a program based on that assessment so that every aspect of their life is treated in a way that is most effective for them. Most of the outpatient programs require a specific number of hours each week for approximately 12-16 weeks depending on the individual client’s pace through their recovery journey. For individuals who require residential care, Terros Health will refer them to their own inpatient rehab location.
